- Commonwealth Scholarship Award by United Kingdom- 2019 Commonwealth Full Scholarship Award was awarded by Commonwealth Scholarship commission in United Kingdom to complete the PhD attached to Royal Veterinary Collage (RVC), University of London and The Pirbright Institute, United Kingdom.
- President’s Award for Scientific Research – 2023 President’s Award for Scientific Research was awarded to paper published in Emerging Microbes & infections and title of paper was Neuraminidase activity and specificity of influenza A virus are influenced by haemagglutinin-receptor binding.

I was awarded as Commendable Researcher of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science for the year 2019. During 2019, I have published two original research articles in high impact journals (EMERGING MICROBES & INFECTIONS 2019. (Impact factor 19.568). - Best scientific Paper award - 2024 The scientific paper presented was selected as the best oral presentation in the 76 th Annual Academic Sessions of Sri Lanka Veterinary Association (SLVA), 2024. The title of paper was Investigating molecular markers influences the hemagglutination activity of the H9N2 avian influenza viruses.
- Post Graduate Research Studentship Award: 2014: Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong. Hong Kong.
- Awarded a travel grantby The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong to present papers at Options IX for the control of influenza conference, Chicago, Illinois, USA held during 24 th -28 th August 2016.
- Best Student Award: First runner-up of the “Best Student Award” offered in the 12 th HKU – Pasteur Virology Course held in Hong Kong organized in collaboration with Pasteur Institute, France from 12 th to 25 th July 2015 on the theme of outbreaks.
