Currently my research focus on three broad areas,

  1. Molecular genetics of indigenous livestock in Sri Lanka (goats, white cattle, buffalo, Jaffna sheep and village chicken)
  2. One health approach to control of diseases of economic importance at human­wildlife-domestic animal interface and
  3. Conservation genetics of Sri Lankan wildlife especially on forest and migrant birds.
