Senior Lecturer (2014-to date)

Department of Farm Animal Production and Health, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal, Science, University of Peradeniya.
Research activities include production of economically feasible calf starter, artificial colostrum, mini TMR feed mixers, densified total mixed ration blocks, In Vitro Production (IVP) of bovine embryos, and ex situ in vivo preservation of endangered, indigenous local breeds .

Post-doctoral researcher (2012-2013)
Department of Animal Sciences, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Research activities included bovine IVF, bovine SCNT, porcine cell culture and stem cell research including chondrogenic, osteogenic and neurogenic differentiation, conducting porcine surgeries for research purposes, and dairy and porcine farm management for research purposes.

Graduate Research Assistant (2008-2012)
Department of Animal Sciences, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Research activities included gene expression profiling of bovine conceptus and maternal tissues from artificial insemination and somatic cell nuclear transfer-derived pregnancies.

Fulbright Fellow (2005-2007) Department of Animal Sciences, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Research activities included gene expression profiling of whole blood of cows with high and low genetic merit for milk production.
