13th-17th of March 2017 at Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science,
A Workshop on Leadership and Organizational Change was conducted by the Veterinary Medical Education (VMEU) unit in collaboration with University of California Davis (UC Davis), USA. Prof. Michael S. Wilkes, Professor of Internal Medicine, School of Medicine, and Prof. John Pascoe, Executive Associate Dean, School of Veterinary Medicine were the Resource Personals from UC Davis. Seventeen academic members representing the health science faculties of Medicine, Dental sciences, Allied Health Sciences and Veterinary Medicine & Animal Science participated in this program. The program was held from 13th-17th of March at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science. Dr. L.G.S.Lokugalapatti (Director of VMEU) organized the event and Drs. Saumya Wickramasinghe and Eranda Indrajith coordinated the program. Funding for air fare and accommodation of resource personals were provided by Academic without Borders, USA.
The five day long program focused on practical and conceptual framework relevant to the health professions and provided the essentials that a current or prospective leader requires in order to lead themselves and others, as well as to lead positive change within their program or institution.
