Our Vision

Being an integral part of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science, the Department of Veterinary Pathobiology aspires to be a centre of excellence in veterinary education that provides excellent opportunities in teaching and learning about the causes, patterns, mechanisms and effects of disease with the aim of improving animal health, production and welfare.

Our Mission

To offer a friendly, responsive and supportive academic environment that is conducive for a quality undergraduate and postgraduate learning and teaching experience in Pathobiology subjects such as Veterinary Pathology, Veterinary Parasitology, Veterinary Microbiology and Veterinary Immunology, with a view to provide a sound foundation for a successful career in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science and research. The mission also includes outreach activities connected to disease diagnosis and advisory services on animal health, production and welfare.
